Pampering: A Must.

0

No, not diapering your child. Pampering yourself, duh!

Every woman – single, married, mom or not – should be pampered AT LEAST once a month, if not more. Whether it be by their husbands/boyfriends on a date night, getting a facial or massage, or buying a new outfit, taking a little time to yourself will do wonders.

My monthly battery-recharging is a mani/pedi. I adore my alone time at the salon. Don’t get me wrong, I do shop to recharge too, but this is the most relaxing I do for 2 straight hours in the middle of the day. I get to clear my head and get a nice foot and hand massage at the same time. It’s heavenly.

There is one thing that usually ruins my serenity and that would be the nail tech.  Call me a bitch, snob or whatever you want but I hate when the nail tech talks to me. I do not want to have the same conversation over and over again on my 2 hours of solitude. No, I’m not 18 years old but thanks for the compliment. No, I’m not in high school or college, I’m old, thanks for reminding me. Yes I have a baby. No, my mother is not the one who works for American Airlines. I literally get asked the same effing questions every.single.time I’m there. But I just want to relax – Not talk! Some might consider that extremely rude and evil of me but I love zoning out. Not worrying about where the baby is crawling to or what she is putting in her mouth.

So leave the toys on the floor, the beds undone and the kids with your husband and take some time once (or twice :)) a month and do something for yourself.
