I still have mind lapses aka baby brain even though my baby is almost a year old. I have a crazy amount of strawberries because I just keep buying cartons..Thank you baby Brain! So on Saturday night, my husband and I were going stir crazy and decided to drink. Why the hell not, right!? Well, I am due for a Publix trip so we didn’t have much mixers to choose from and I drank all the wine the previous week. Then I got a brilliant idea. My absolute favorite martini is a Strawberry Martini from the Cheesecake Factory. If you never had one, I suggest you try it, but if you have a barrel of strawberries lying around like me, you can make your own….and that’s exactly what I did. With a twist to the original of course.
Strawberry Martini serves 1

- 4-5 strawberries, cleaned and cut into pieces
- 1 oz. vodka
- splash of lemonade
- sugar
In a martini shaker, muddle the pieces of strawberry with a fork or spoon. Add vodka, lemonade, ice and shake.
Garnish the rim of the martini glass with some sugar. Then pour the strawberry-vodka-y goodness into the glass and enjoy!
