Rent The Runway : My Favorite Plus One

Rent The Runway : My Favorite Plus One

I’m sure by now most of you have heard of Rent the Runway. It is a site dedicated to renting hot, high-end fashion dresses to the public. For someone who doesn’t typically have a gala or red carpet event to attend every month, I don’t see the point in buying a 200-400 dollar dress for one occasion every year or so. That is why I love Rent the Runway – I can get a dress that is in style, for fractions of the price.

For the past couple of weddings we had to go to, I was bored of my go-to wedding dress. I wore that damn dress to EVERY THING and frankly, I was sick of it. So I headed to Rent the Runway and browsed the huge selection of designer brand dresses, picked and choose my faves and then made my final decision. Rent the Runway’s customer service reps are phenomenal and always willing to help you out with sizing and options. If you are worried the dress you choose will not fit, Rent the Runway will send you a back up size complimentary and for an extra $35 you can even get a back up dress in a different style. They cover all the angles, because lets face it, if you are anything like me, you may need options!

Rent the Runway has dresses for all occasions, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, day dresses, you name it. You can rent for a 3 day period or 4 day period and they ship you the dress right to your house with a garment bag and a padded envelope to ship it back to them. You don’t even have to deal with cleaning! How great is that?!

Check out the two fab dresses I rented for the past couple weddings:

I was in love with the last one! Don’t get me wrong, due to the fact that these dresses are rented to who ever wants to rent them, there is some wear and tear but the most of the dresses I’ve received have been a great shape. The last dress you can tell has been worn a lot due to the bagginess in the back. I was scared I was going to flash the entire wedding if I moved my arms a certain way. Nothing a little double sided tape can’t fix!

If you have ever thought about renting from Rent the Runway, I would definitely suggest you try it out, at least once! Hell, where are you going to be able to wear a dress that normally is $1,500 for just $70? When you sign up, they typically have a deal that if you spend $75, you can get $25 off! Not bad, not bad at all!

Have you ever rented from Rent the Runway? If no, would you?
