Fig and Prosciutto Appetizer

Fig and Prosciutto Appetizer

If you haven’t already figured it out, I am all about simplicity when it comes to my cooking. Easy, delicious ingredients that are full of flavor & quick to make.

Lucky for me, my parents are close by and love cooking just as much as I do. My dad has become quite the culinary genius in his retirement. While his golf game might not be where he wants it to be, his cooking is freakin’ on par. Pun totally intended. They recently came over to cook me dinner while my husband was out of town (I know, I’m spoiled…I am the baby after all) and he made this outrageously delicious Fig and Prosciutto appetizer that was so simple and oh, so delicious!

I suggest picking up a great bottle of white wine or some Prosecco to enjoy this Fig and Prosciutto appetizer!

Here is what you’ll need:

Fig and Prosciutto Appetizer | The Anti Mom Blog

Fig and Prosciutto Appetizer

  • Fresh Figs
  • 1/2 lb Prosciutto

Clean the figs, then cut them in to thin slices. You will probably get about 3-4 slices from one fig (depending how big they are). We used about 3 figs per serving.

Arrange sliced figs on plate or serving platter and take 2-3 slices of prosciutto. Gently drape them over the sliced figs.

Now it’s time to manga!

Can’t get any easier than that, am I right? You will feel like you are dining in some Tuscan restaurant. It truly brought me back to my dad’s home town of Riomaggiore. Nothing beats sweet, fresh figs & the salty addition of prosciutto.

Get your Italian on.
