What To Do With Leftover Easter Candy

0

Did you get an overabundance of chocolate this Easter? Well my almost 2 year old got more chocolate than I think her little eyes have ever seen. 4 chocolate bunnies the size of her head, M&M’s up the wazoo, Peeps and chocolate eggs that could last a lifetime. There’s no way in hell I am letting her eat it all. So what can you do with all these goodies that doesn’t include you eating all of it? Here are some ideas to get rid of all that excess chocolate and candies: 1. Give it away! So simple. But to who?…

10 Unique Gift Ideas For Twins

0

My sister was blessed to have two healthy TWIN baby girl’s a little over a month ago. The entire family is still in shock that there are two more in the family..so surreal. I scrambled to find the perfect gift for these twinies. Besides helping out with some basics, I really wanted to welcome my nieces into the family in a special way. As always, I waited till the last minute and ended up running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off. I noticed there aren’t much “twin” stuff that is readily accessible. If you go to any…

Oven Roaster Chicken – Just like Publix!

Oven Roaster Chicken – Just like Publix!

I love me some Publix rotisserie chicken! The crispy skin, the moist, juicy meat that falls off the bone – drooling just thinking about it! That is my go-to dinner when I don’t feel like cooking and Publix makes it so easy for us to enjoy a semi-homemade dinner with out the hours of cooking. I think the price is a bit steep for the size we get, but that is obviously not stopping me from still getting them. I often wondered if I could get that same golden and juicy flavor at home….. Challenge accepted. I bought a medium-sized…

Hubby’s Easy Deviled Eggs

0

After being out of town for a month, I have finally returned to my South Florida dwellings. My husband rolled out the red carpet for our arrival-from picking us up at the gate down to cooking a 5 star dinner. He hasn’t cooked for me since we got married. Well, aside from manning the BBQ that is. After his meal of homemade Chicken & Mushroom Risotto, I plan on getting his ass back in the kitchen…with out me! It didn’t stop at the risotto either. He made delicious deviled eggs. Now, there is a list of things I’ve never eaten…

Can You Hang?

0

This was the question of the weekend. In preparation for an upcoming trip to Las Vegas, my husband kindly asks me if I think I can hang like you used to. Context meaning, can I still party like a rock star for an extended long period of time with out being an old lady. He has had more of an opportunity to test his limits than I have lately, I mean, one of us has to be the responsible one right? We do have a child after all. Although, I wouldn’t mind going on a drinking bender every once…

Homemade Makeup Remover

0

I recently told my husband that the 2 minutes I spend washing my face at night are one of my favorite times of the day. He may or may have not looked at me like I was a psycho, but I will be nice and not share what his favorite 2 minutes of the day are. With that being said, my face wash has to be the absolute tops.  6 years ago, my sister introduced me to Aveeno’s foaming face wash and its been love at first scrub ever since. Its calming, cleansing and relaxing as I get ready for…

The Best Feeling In The World

0

Have you ever been away for the weekend, slept in a a different bed for 2 days, tossing and turning? Have you ever been away for the weekend and your suit case was perfectly packed when you left but then as the weekend continued on it turned into one big wrinkled and mangled mess? Or how about lounging on someone else couch for an entire weekend and not getting as comfortable like you do on your own soft and cozy couch? Well, the absolute BEST feeling in the world is coming home from an entire weekend away to a…

Tangerine Mint Cocktail

0

Since I am on this Dr. Oz Weight-orade kick, I have an over-abundance of both mint and tangerine. So keeping with this fat-burning, metabolism-boosting theme, I tried to mix up a little concoction with one of my favorite alcoholic beverages, Champagne. Well…Prosecco to be exact. Fresh juiced tangerines mixed with some bubbly and mint make for a very refreshing drink that would be perfect for happy hour or brunch! Tangerine Mint Cocktail serves 2 4 Tangerines, juiced (should equal to 1 cup) Handful of mint, chopped Champagne or Prosecco slices of tangerine and/or mint sprigs for garnish Cut each tangerine in…

Scarpetta

0

For months, my husband and I have been dying to dine at Scarpetta in the Fontainebleau Hotel down in SoBe. We have literally been planning it for months and finally decided to go on my 30th birthday. Clearly we are huge fans of “Chopped” so of course we had to try famed Chef Scott Conant’s restaurant since it is practically in our back yard. It was the most awesomely delicious night EVER! The restaurant was extremely posh, I mean, only the best for the Fontainebleau right? We sipped on cocktails, delicious homemade bread with mascarpone whipped butter and homemade caponata….
