Kalamata Olive Aioli Dip with Herb Fries (Just like Nordstrom’s!)

Happiest of New Years to all of you! One of my goals this year is to get back on track with my site here, because lets face it, I’ve been MIA! With good reasons though…so I can’t beat myself up too much! With Baby O almost sleeping through the night, I am less of a zombie now a days so I can actually formulate some words together! And cook again…which I have been majorly slacking in, too. Over Christmas, my 2 favorite cousins and I did some returning at Nordstrom’s and happened to stop into Bistro N for a little…

Poop Problems – 5 Home Remedies To Help Constipation In Children

4

I know this may be a rather gross topic to discuss but if you have a small child, you probably have had a constipation problem at least once, if not more. Especially if you have a picky eater like me and who always seems to be struggling with #2. Sometimes they aren’t getting enough fiber in their diets. I know mine isn’t and I try everything to sneak it in – blended up with pasta, compensate with high fiber fruits – but sometimes that just doesn’t help keep her regular. We’ve got mad poop problems. It got so bad, my…

Homemade Spaghettio’s

0

Growing up I never ate Spaghettio’s. No Chef Boyardee either. Sure, as a kid I got sucked into those cool commercials and begged my mom to get them for me but she knew better. I mean, who wants to eat Italian out of a can?! Now that I’m 30 and still have yet to try either, there is still that kid in me that wonders what the hell all the fuss was about. Well, luckily I came across Pennies On A Platter’s homemade version on Pinterest and I felt obligated to my 8 year old self to make it. Thank…

Disinfecting Your Home From Viruses

0

I wrote Monday how I was MIA from a nasty stomach virus and thought the damn thing had finally left my family after unleashing its massive destruction on everyone, sparing my husband and daughter. Well, I spoke way too soon. The other day turned out to be the day from stomach virus hell. Both my husband and daughter got whatever has been looming around. After being thrown up on numerous times and on the verge of tears most of the day, I quickly had to pull myself together and put on my nurse, mommy, concerned wife and cleaning lady hats….

The Stomach Bug That Wouldn’t Die

0

I feel so out of the loop! Been completely MIA and I owe it all to a stomach virus that invaded my body last week. Apparently it has been going around in the South Florida area like the Flu has up north. BLEH. I thought I got some food poisoning but then it started infecting my other family members. It went to 4 different people in the past week….the damn thing just would go away! It was the absolute worst and I couldn’t be happier that this thing has moved on from my poor family and we can get back…

Fajita Night!

0

I am all about the easy, 30 minutes or less recipes for dinner. So when I was flippin’ through the recipe book my mom made me for Christmas, I stopped on a recipe for fajitas. Had minimal ingredients and took less than 30 minutes-score. Doing tex-mex at home is by far the best, its so fun to make all the fixings yourself. I usually make some guac, salsa, and put out a whole fixin’ bar of cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and hot sauce. No way am I gonna skimp when it comes to Fajita Night! What makes doing it…

Damn You, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood

1

My daughter’s newest obsession is Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood on PBS. It’s a play off “Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood”, with some of the same characters in his Neighborhood of Make-Believe. The show follows Daniel Tiger and his family and friends as they face good times and bad times and learn some pretty valuable lessons that are great for pre-school aged kids see. It’s absolutely adorable, and my kid refuses to move when its on, which can be a great thing if I need to get something done in 30 minutes, like cook! But there is just one thing….the songs! Its called a…
