Meatloaf Cupcakes

0

I love meatloaf and I love cupcakes. So how bad can meatloaf cupcakes be???? Try amazingly delicious. I got the brilliant idea to make meatloaf’s in a muffin tin thanks to Pinterest (of course). But they were cooking, I thought to myself “self, how fantastic would these be if you topped them with mashed potatoes?” My two loves combined into one, delicious, tiny meat packed bite. I’d say pretty damn fantastic. I even thought they would be playful enough for my lil girl to eat them. She wasn’t as excited as my husband and I with these savory treats, guess…

50 Shades of….Eye Safety?

0

Living in South Florida, we are very fortunate to have some amazing weather all year round. Since my daughter was an infant, we immediately took advantage of enjoying playtime outdoors, especially poolside. In pure Anti Mom fashion, she was decked out from head to toe in the cutest bathing suits and swimming accessories. I had a pair of infant shades that we would put on her because we thought she looked like a little movie star. Some days though, I just would put a cute hat on her head. Little did I know I was putting my sweet angel’s eyes…

Bracelet Roundup: Nordstrom Edition

0

Cuff bracelets are probably the greatest accessory! It can add a pop of color or just a great dimension to any outfit. I have 3 that I absolutely adore. One was given to me by my best friend in college that she got on one of her trips to Puerto Vallarta. It was a simple beaded, thick cuff bracelet, full of color. I’ve had it for 10 years and it just recently broke and I couldn’t be more devastated! So I am now on a hunt for the perfect cuff bracelet and came across these awesome choices at Nordstrom. I…

The Absolute Best AND Easiest Grilled Chicken Marinade

0

Now that I have my own little herb garden growing in the back yard, I had to step up my cooking game. My go to meal when I hit a wall is grilled chicken kabobs. It’s easy, its delicious and healthy. My husband has been complaining about the marinades I’ve been using for the chicken. WTF, right? I channeled my anger into making a kick ass marinade to shut him up. So I decided to try something extremely simple because I had a toddler grabbing at my damn legs the other night (and every night I’m cooking for that matter)….

Baby, Brush Those Teeth!

0

Good oral hygiene should be #1 on everyone’s list. So once my lil one started sprouting teeth, we got her her very own little tooth brush and gum gel. She of course thought it was the greatest thing ever and thought we gave her a new chew toy. Little did she know we were beginning to instill in her that she’s got to brush her teeth. Every morning and night we brush to get her into the habit. Now that she pretty much has a mouth full of choppers, she looks for the brushing every day and we of course…

Praise Thee Single Parent

0

I have been blessed to have family living extremely close to me. If I need any help with my lil kiddo, I have my parents 10 minutes South of us, my mother-in-law 10 minutes North, scattered relatives all over Broward/Dade area and a very involved and hands-on husband. If I ever need a hour to myself or we want to have a date night-they are there. Except this weekend. My husband was out of town on a guys trip, my mother-in-law is summering upstate New York, and my mother jetted off to help my very pregnant-with-twins sister. So I was…

Hot Tops: Express Edition

0

Looking for a great top for a night out with your man or are you looking to just spice up that summertime wardrobe? I always am looking for a cute top to wear with either jeans or shorts that I can dress up or down depending on my plans. It can’t be too fancy, the last thing I want is for the kiddo to ruin it and of course it can’t be too blah, because, well, I gots to look good! ;-D I love Express for their flattering cuts, great fabrics and edgy looks. I can really add great pieces…

Is Your Toddler A Drama Queen/King?

0

Mine is. And I have NO idea where she got it from. ;-P I actually was preparing myself for the tantrums and fits because my whole life I’d hear from family members how crazy I was as a toddler. From sticking my tongue out at complete strangers who were just saying hi to me to cursing out the children in my preschool class. History repeats itself….I just hope she doesn’t start calling people stupid asses. Now the real question is how to handle these tantrums. When she first started them, she would stomp her little chubby feet then drop to…

To Vaccinate or Not Vaccinate: That Is The Question.

0

As a child, I was always up to date on all my vaccines. I never questioned it nor did my parents, just knew they would protect me against certain diseases. I never thought any more about them until I had my own child. Even then, I still didn’t think twice about having her vaccinated. Yet, the more I research and speak to other mom’s & dad’s out there, the more I am seeing that there is a whole slew of people against vaccines. Whether it be the fears of Autism or SIDS, so many parents have stayed clear of having…

Cheesy Quinoa

0

Quinoa (keen-wah) is my newest food obsession. Some might question WTF it is exactly, because that’s what I did when I first heard of this stuff. I didn’t even know how to friggin’ pronounce it (thanks Wiki). I just kept seeing delicious recipes on Pinterest with this crazy weird-named ingredient. So what exactly is quinoa you ask? It’s in the family of couscous, a very nutty grain that is gluten-free and said to be easily digest. Its just really good. But I learned quickly that it must be mixed with something, for eating it completely plain is just terrible. Once…
