Healthy Quinoa Turkey Stuffed Peppers

Healthy Quinoa Turkey Stuffed Peppers

I know what you are thinking already…healthy? You betcha! My husband and I are trying to get back into better shape and start living an all around ‘healthier’ lifestyle. Don’t get me wrong, I still eat pizza and sweets but being a bit more cautious of what I put in my body. With that being said, I concocted a some-what healthy verison of my favorite dish – Stuffed Peppers. I know my husband was quite skeptical of this dish, seeing as the night before I dried out our ‘healthy’ chicken so much so that it teetered the line…

Greek Salsa + Greek Vinaigrette Recipe

0

I tend to go through phases in my cuisine. For a while I was into creating Asian-inspired dishes and I have now moved to the Greek Isles. Love me some Greek flavors. I’m currently obsessed with the fabulous flavors that make Greek dishes pop – like fresh oregano. I have been making a cucumber, peppers, tomato and feta cheese salad that I have dubbed ‘Greek Salsa’. We put it over grilled or rotisserie chicken and it’s just awesome. The freshness of the veggies along with the yummy Greek-inspired vinaigrette kicks up boring chicken. Greek Salsa 1/2 large Cucumber…

Celebrate Dad’s Everywhere! #HowLoveWorks

0

With Father’s Day just two days away, everyone should be celebrating the special guys who get on our nerves the most! Just kidding……kind of. Whether you are making him breakfast in bed or giving him a day of golfing, every dad out there should be celebrating for doing one of the best jobs in the world – being a father! It doesn’t matter if it’s his first or 38th Father’s Day, we often take for granted the role dad’s play in our kids lives. Thanks to Johnson & Johnson’s for making this fabulous video, Distinctly Dad, it reminded…

How To Clean Spilled Oil in 3 Easy Steps!

How To Clean Spilled Oil in 3 Easy Steps!

It’ never a dull moment in our household. While preparing dinner last week, Little O’s was crawling around wreaking havoc, as usual. She made her way into the pantry and somehow pulled on the 5 liter jug of Olive Oil I had just bought. Thank you, Bertolli for making an awful cap that won’t screw on tight. Seriously, you’d think they’d use a tighter screw lid on 5 freakin’ liters of oil and not one that you turn 3 times then it loosens again. Bleeh. Anyways, she is freakishly strong for a 9 month old because those little muscles knocked…

5 Parenting Contradictions That Haunt My Dreams

0

Before getting married and having kids, my husband and I had a lot of opinions about certain parental topics and child-raising techniques. Believe me, if I could go back in time and tell us to STFU, I would. It’s humorous to even believe that we were this naive before we became parents and how strongly we felt about a few topics back then. On Mealtime Before kids: Our child will never EVER dictate to us what they want to eat. We will make one meal and one meal only. I will never be the parent that makes…

Orangetheory Fitness Coral Springs/Parkland – The Fitness Class That’s Sweeping the Nation! #OTFParklandBloggers

Orangetheory Fitness has been popping up literally on ever corner in our surrounding neighborhoods. So many people I know are doing it and are highly addicted. It’s like the Starbucks of the fitness world! So naturally I had to find out for myself what the fuss was about. When I asked some friends (and there were many!) about what makes Orangetheory stand out from your usual gyms, I got the same answer – “It’s the most AMAZING workout I’ve ever had-I’m addicted!” No joke, 3 people said that exact phrase to me. Weird? Yes. Coincidental? Maybe. Fitness Cult? Hmmm….Just ask…

Meatless Friday’s: Peach Cobbler

1

I have had the worst cravings for peach cobbler this past week. The funny thing is I’ve never even had peach cobbler before in my life! Sure, I could have easily gone to Publix and buy it frozen, but its not just not the same as homemade. I wanted authentic, southern-style peach cobbler because it looks so damn delicious on T.V. or in pics. I of course went to good old trusty-reliable Pinterest and hit the jackpot! I found probably the easiest and most delicious homemade recipe for peach cobbler. Since I have nothing to reference it by, this is…
