How To: Clean Your Dishwasher

This week’s ‘How To’ feature is all about the guy who does the brunt of our kitchen duty: The Dishwasher. I would clean the counters, mop the floor, wipe down the inside of the cabinets, even deodorize the disposal, but we still smelled the funk. So, during one of the many daily internal conversation I have with myself, I asked myself, “Self, what is the one thing I never clean – ding ding ding! My dishwasher.” Maybe he (yes, my dishwasher…

How To Clean Spilled Oil in 3 Easy Steps!

It’ never a dull moment in our household. While preparing dinner last week, Little O’s was crawling around wreaking havoc, as usual. She made her way into the pantry and somehow pulled on the 5 liter jug of Olive Oil I had just bought. Thank you, Bertolli for making an awful cap that won’t screw on tight. Seriously, you’d think they’d use a tighter screw lid on 5 freakin’ liters of oil and not one that you turn 3 times then it loosens again. Bleeh. Anyways, she is freakishly strong for a 9 month old because those little muscles knocked…

But cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, laundry is just the absolute worst. This may or may not be considered child labor but my toddler loves doing chores. I don’t know if its because she thinks its a game or the fact she usually gets a special treat after helping but lately I have been letting her help me with all my daily and…

Easy Tips For Clean & Fresh House

0

You would think being a stay at home mom my house would be immaculate every second of every day. Maybe in fantasy land! I struggle every single day to keep my house looking clean. It’s a pain in my ever-growing bedonk. I’ve tried doing certain chores on specific days, but that completely failed. I tried doing upstairs one day and down the other. But I get too tired and usually end up only doing one. Lately things have gotten a bit better, and sometimes I do break down and hire a cleaning lady (I’m a sell out! But so worth it)….

Disposable Diaper + Washer = No Bueno

AntiMom’s Tip#1 – Never Wash Disposable Diapers. EVER! If you end up in the same situation I was in the other night, where you are exhausted from going to the beach and spending the entire weekend in the hot sun and ready to collapse after you do just 1 load of laundry but then you realize as you empty the clothes from the washer to the dryer, that you have washed one of your child’s disposable diapers in with all the clothes. You want to cry, scream, punch a wall and/or slowly walk away and shut the door…
