Steakhouse Creamed Spinach

Steakhouse Creamed Spinach

I love side dishes. Sometimes I could just eat an entire meal of side dishes. When it’s the holidays, side dishes are pretty much all I eat. They are my favorite. I love making them, I love eating them and most of all I looooove having them as leftovers. The other night I tried out new side dish and it was off the hook. I was trying to be all romantical and make my husband a homemade steakhouse-type dinner: clam chowder, wedge salad, surf & turf and creamed spinach. I know, I’m fancy. Now, I never really enjoyed creamed spinach,…

Review: KidCo ChildProofing Cabinet Locks

0

As promised, here is my review for my baby hell aka childproofing. It took me over a week to put everything up. Yes, a week. I’m lazy and it took me quite some time to figure out those damn things up. Overview I ended up purchasing KidCo Secure Stick Adhesive Mount Locks at BuyBuyBaby. I had to buy the starter pack, which came with 2 locks and a magnet. Then purchase 2 additional packs of 4 to lock every cabinet. They came with adhesives already attached to both the locks and mounts along with enough screws in case you wanted…

A Toy Every Baby Should Have…

0

After Christmas, Baby A’s toy collection has grown immensely. Shes obsessed with all of them, but mostly loves Violet, the stuffed bear by LeapFrog. That thing is awesome. You plug it into the computer and can personalize it to your baby’s name, favorite songs, foods, and animals. Its really cute how excited they get when they hear a song with their name in it. I know what your thinking, this is awfully similar to a cheesy mom post that I tend to stray from…but I’ve been feeling very sentimental these days thanks to the fact my lil 9 month old…

Put on Your Yamaka…

It’s time for Hanukkah! This will be my 2nd year celebrating Hanukkah. Every Jewish friend I have really doesn’t celebrate this holiday. They say its the less important holiday of all of them. Uhh what? What the hell??!? Isn’t every holiday important and further more how can you not want to celebrate a holiday that lets you give/get a present every night..for 8 days!? I married a nice Jewish boy from Brooklyn, so I was excited when the holidays came around knowing that I would get 8 additional presents. Except I married the only Jewish boy that doesn’t celebrate Hanukkah….

Reality Check

0

So last night, well rather this morning, at 5:30 am I was up sick to my stomach. It was not pretty. I was up for almost an hour and a half when I finally went back to sleep, still tossing and turning. Before baby, if I had a night like this, first thing I would do was email my boss and tell him I’m taking a sick day. When I heard the baby crying, I immediately thought, “I need to call in today, I feel like shit, there’s no way I can go into work today”. Then reality hit me….

Leftover Madness

0

On Friday I attempted a new recipe for pan seared chicken with a lemon, butter and wine sauce and had a huge epic dinner fail. The sauce smelt delicious but tasted like burnt crap. We barely finished, luckily I made a shit load of thin spaghetti as a side. Any who, I had a decent amount left over. Yesterday we (mostly me) were hung-ovahhh from going to the Casino for a friends birthday. Patron es no bueno. No.Bueno. We pigged out on greasy burgers for a late lunch, so for dinner I wanted something a little bit lighter. My nanny…

Work Schmerk

Since I was 14 I had a job. Even before that I would babysit or be a “mom’s helper” to earn some cash. So I guess you can say I have been steadily working for more than 17 years. I was a hostess and waitress through out high school and college and once I graduated became a regular in the game that is corporate America. I knew once I had a baby, I would do anything I could to stay at home and raise my kids. Some look at it is old fashion or out right crazy. My mom was…
