Before you know it, Thanksgiving and Christmas will be creepin’ up on us. I know, I feel crazy for even writing that but once Halloween passes you blink your eyes and its the freaking New Year. At least that’s how it is for me! Screw the presents – what are we gonna wear??! Yes, that is one of the top things on my holiday to-do list. My lil diva’s got to look fly for her first holidays!
I was lucky enough to attend a special blogger event at The Childrens Place last Wednesday. They have the absolute cutest clothes for extremely reasonable prices. The place was stocked up with some great duds for the upcoming holidays. I felt like a kid in a candy store. Not sure if I mentioned that I have a slight obsession with shopping for baby girl clothing. I feel bad for the mommy’s with boys; usually the selection is grim – but I have heard it has gotten exceptionally better over the past years.
The Childrens Place knows how to make trendy clothing for kids yet still allowing them to look like kiddies and not mini-adults! First thing I saw were their adorable dresses – it was hard for me to choose between 2 of them. So naturally I got them both! I fell in love with a winter white knit short sleeved dress with a black bow. It is absolutely adorable and the short sleeves are perfect for the holidays down here in sunny Florida. The detailing is so sweet and it has just a hint of shimmer in the fabric – bling bling! I am planning on pairing it with some black tights or leggings and cute Mary Jane’s for Christmas Eve.
Dress #2 is a cutesy, plaid red, black and white knit dress. Your typical holiday girlie-girl dress! If by some Christmas miracle we get cold weather down here in Ft. Lauderdale, I can just put a little turtle neck underneath the dress and throw on a pair of opaque tights. But seeing as we are usually laying by the pool in December, I’m guessing the turtle neck will not be necessary. One can dream. 
Their winter/holiday line was mixed with lots of sparkles, polka-dots and they even had faux fur shrugs – c’mon my lil diva would have rocked that! I am a sucker for a cute pair of leggings and The Childrens Place did not disappoint – Corduroy skinny-jean leggings! I was so upset when they didn’t have any sizes that would fit my girl. I know, I know – shoulda thought ahead and got a pair for when she’s 6. Heheh. But no need to worry-they had regular jeggings. Phew! Crisis averted.
Make sure you visit The Childrens Place and take a look at the great stuff they have for the holidays. I did wander over to the boys side and was screaming with the little blazers and sweaters they had for them. So freakin’ cute! Plus they have some great sales going on and if you sign up for their mailer, you’ll get coupons right to your email!
