May I Have…This Dance

0

supaahstaaahh!

In efforts to make Baby A laugh last week, I started dancing like a spastic maniac around my living room. In the middle of one of my weird arm-jerking moves, I pulled a muscle in my neck and shoulder. I feel like such a tool for even saying that, but I got nothing to hide. So yesterday morning I wake up and can’t move my neck left or right and I have numbness down my entire arm. I immediately call my sister who is a Physical Therapist and she broke the news to me that I most likely have a pinched nerve and I need to go to a dr.

Fanfuckingtastic.

Soooo I get an appointment with a pain management/non-surgical orthopedic, who came highly recommended from my dad. It was the craziest experience of my life! Electric stim, massage therapy, and every bone in my body pretty much cracked during my 3 1/2 hour visit. I’m extremely sore and agitated, but it was weirdly worth it.

Now I’m sitting here with some craaazay pain and my neck is all wrapped up in a heated pad. So yeah, you want to know the moral of this random Thursday story? When you want to make your kid laugh, keep it simple-make a weird face or sing a lame song and what ever you do, just try to avoid spastic dancing at all cost. But if you need to get down, shake your ass with caution. For as my dad kindly put it to me, if you are getting close to 30 your body can’t move like it used to.

Way to kick me when I’m down DAD.
