I am bashing my head against a wall trying to figure out what to get my niece and daughter for their 1st birthdays. They are 5 weeks apart and I’m sorry, but clothes and little toys will just not cut it for this special milestone. I wanted to get them both something special, fun and meaningful. Something that they will get some use out of for a while and not grow out of it in a few weeks or be bored of in a few hours. Here’s what I have come up with so far:
1. Table & Chairs Set: A cute toddler table and chairs set is perfect for a little person! They can eat, color and play on this table set that is made just for their height. I actually decided on this one for my niece and she loves it!

2. Personalized Rocking Chair: My daughter got one of these when she was first born. Now that she is walking around and playing in her room, she loves rocking in it. There are so many sites that will personalize the chair with the child’s name and a cute design.

3. Jewelry: If you have a little girl turning one, why not get a cute piece of jewelry. Check out birthstone earrings from a jeweler or a place like Piercing Pagoda. Some are not that expensive, but if the birthday girl is born in April, like mine, you’ll be dishing out some dough! If they don’t have peirced ears, get a sweet bracelet with their name and birthstone colors. My neice and daughter both have one of these from Mazzoni Designs. 4. Play House: A cute little play house or kitchen for them to play in. Check out Little Tikes, there are so many styles to choose from and they even have some BBQ’s so they can grill just like daddy.

5. Tricycle: They make some really adorable tricycles that are 3 bikes in one and grows with your child. I was contemplating this for my niece and daughter as well. They can get a little pricey but check out Walmart or sales/coupons at Toys R Us.
