If my daughter is in one of her “moods” (like she is at this very moment) and I’ve tried EVERYTHING to talk her down from the bratty ledge that shes on, there is usually only one thing that will ultimately work – “The Bubble Guppies”. If you are not familiar with these little guppies, its a show on Nickelodeon or Nick Jr (I’m still trying to figure out all these channels) and it has saved my sanity on many of occasions. It follows the adventures of 6 little merbabies/guppies – not entirely sure what they are but she absolutely LOVES them. I know there are some people out there that are probably shaking their heads at the fact that my 11 month old is obsessed with a TV show, but it is what it is.
All the colors and catchy songs put her in what I call a Bubble Guppy Trance.

Her and my niece get so excited when they hear the opening song. Seeing them start shaking their little bums and dancing is just priceless! But I have one gripe with freaking Nickelodeon. Where the hell are the “Bubble Guppies” products?!!? There are literally no toys, books, CD’s, DVD’s to buy out there! No tee’s, no bags…NOTHING! You can’t go into a store or online without seeing any of their other shows and their products plastered around. I searched and scoured the internet trying to find anything, but all I could find is print outs. Ehhh, what the hell am I gonna do with those, especially with a little munchkin that tries to eat everything. Last thing I need to worry about is her choking on a paper cut out of one of these little merbabies.
So this is for you, Nickelodeon…..
To Whom It May Concern at Nickelodeon,
Why the HELL don’t you make “Bubble Guppies” products?? C’mon! Get with it already!! This mom wants to spend some money on toys that will make her baby stop crying and stop acting bratty! It’s not just me-I’ve seen plenty of forums and sites written by other moms, like myself, looking for them as well. For their sake, their sanity and the well being of every crying and screaming child who adores these little guppies, please start mass producing these products IMMEDIATELY!
