If you have a phone, you know that babies have some weird fascination with them. Probably the most expensive teething toy my daughter has. I have gone through 4 cases thanks to drool infestation and droppage.
So when it comes to my iPad, I am a bit more protective. But she loves it just as much as the phone and actually knows how to use it already. Scary. For her 1st birthday, a good friend got her probably the coolest gift EVER: the Fisher-Price iPad Apptivity Case.
It is pretty awesome. What it is is this crazy, kid-friendly case that protects your iPad but lets your little one play on it at the same time. You just have to download a few FREE Fisher-Price apps from iTunes App Store. Since my husband and I are always with some type of electronic, things like this really come in handy when the baby wants to play with everything we have!
The Jist:
A sturdy case that helps protects your iPad from drooling and dirty, sticky fingers. There are fun rings at the handle for kids to play with and enhance their motor skills. It can lay flat, propped up slightly or pull out the two legs on the back and it can rock. You download the Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn apps from the App Store: Let’s Count Animals, Animal Sounds, Where’s Puppy’s Nose?, and Shapes & Colors Music Show.
Pros:
- It helps protect your iPad from nasty drool and being used as a chewing toy.
- Has 4 rubbery corners in case baby drops it on the floor or on itself.
- Clear plastic bar under protective cover to block home page button so baby can’t leave the game unknowingly.
- Cute, educational games that keep baby occupied. Helping them learn body parts, songs, ABC’s, numbers and animal recognition.
- Easy to wash.
Cons:
- You’re child will want to play with it all the time!
- They will use the box as a yoga mat.
So far, we love it. The iPad Apptivity Case retails for about $27.99. It’s not only fun but extremely educational. If you don’t have an iPad, Fisher-Price makes one for your iPhone and iTouch too. The iPhone Apptivity Case is just as fun and durable with some awesome games, and retails for about $14. I am thinking about getting it…my iPhone will thank me.
