I went to my homegirl’s birthday BBQ over the weekend and was scrambling on what to bring. Of course I wait till last minute, and then realized she told me someone was bringing a bean/corn app…because otherwise I would have gone straight to my trusty-reliable Bean & Corn salsa.
Being fat, preggo and craving everything under the sun, I thought about those yummy little meatballs covered in sweet and spicy sauce that I’ve had at different parties over the years but never knew how to make. I needed to make those not just for my own fatty-selfish reason, but because those are a freaking crowd pleaser. I know you all have had those before and have gone for 2nd’s, 3rd’s & 4th’s.
They are probably one of the easiest apps I’ve ever whipped up. All you need is a crock pot, grape jelly, frozen meatballs and some Heinz Chili Sauce and you’re done!
Crock Pot Sweet & Tangy Meatball Appetizer
- 1 bag Frozen Meatballs
- 1 jar Grape Jelly
- 1 jar Heinz Chili Sauce
In a bowl, mix jelly and chili sauce together. Dump the entire bag of meatballs into the crockpot and pour the sauce over. Mix well, set on high for 2-4 hours.
Oh yeah, it’s easy as that. So definitely keep these bad boy’s in mind for your next party, BBQ or if you are just having a fatty-preggo craving.
