Whether you have been sent flowers or bought them from the grocery store, you want to make sure those beauties are on display! I recently received some gorgeous roses from The Bouqs Company – the greatest online flower service that is changing the game when it comes to sending flowers. (check out my full review, here!) I wanted to create a beautiful display for my house and did it in 3 easy steps!
Now you too can create your very own vase arrangement. Here’s what you’ll need to create a fabulous professional grade arrangement yourself:
DIY Flower Arrangement
- Tape – cellophane tape or masking tape
- Scissors
- Vase
1. Fill vase with cool water. Depending on what kind of tape you have (legit flower arrangement pros have cellophane tape, but masking works great!) cut into 1/2-1 inch long strips that will go from one end of the vase to the other. Place them in a grid pattern like this:
2. Under running water, take your flowers and begin cutting the ends on a slant. Cut according to size of the vase.
3. Start in the middle of the vase and place one flower at a time in each grid square. Work your way out to the sides
You can tweak each stem as you go, if you feel one belongs in a different square. You may also need to trim the end of the stems to fit better, too.
No more throwing flowers in a vase and forgetting about them! With these 3 simple steps, you’ll have a beautiful arrangement that even Martha Stewart would be proud of!
