Frozen Gift Guide

Frozen Gift Guide

Disney’s Frozen is the hottest thing ever and it’s no surprise the world of merchandising has capitalized on this immensely! My girls are constantly asking me for anything Frozen-related. The past couple months, the stores have been adding more and more Frozen merchandise to the shelves and they typically are flying right off! Not surprised at all. So just some friendly advice – if you see something Frozen-related and are contemplating getting it – just get it! More than likely the next time you go back for it, it won’t be there. To avoid any toy aisle fights, I found…

{DIY} Handprint Snowman Ornament

{DIY} Handprint Snowman Ornament

Last Christmas, I wanted to do something special for everyone from the girls. I saw the most adorable hand print snowman ornament on Pinterest that would be perfect! Although I had my reservations about the craft – mainly the paint and painting with 2 kids under the age of 2 (one being an infant) – it turned out to be fantastic. We did have a few mishaps, but that makes for some good stories! Not only did my daughter love helping make these memorable presents, but it was sweet to see her give out the presents to everyone with a big…

Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy House Party

You may be thinking, “She threw another Sofia the First party?!” I sure did! With a house full of princess-obsessed girls, it was bound to happen again. Especially when the awesome folks at HouseParty.com selected us to host one of their fabulous Disney Jr. Sofia the First Parties for the premiere of the newest installment of our favorite show, Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy. My girls would get so excited with every preview they saw on Disney Jr. and I am not going to lie, my husband and I were just as excited. We have grown to…

Pork Medallions with Cranberry Chutney

Pork Medallions with Cranberry Chutney

It’s no secret that I am all about the easy recipes; preferably ones that take me 30 minutes or less. Lucky for me, my sister -who also loves to cook – shares that same affinity for quick meals. It might have something to do with her being a mom to 3 kids under the age of 3, but she has some hidden gems that are equally bad ass and delicious. Lately, she has been ranting and raving about an easy, pork medallions with cranberry chutney dish she has been making and her 3 girls have been eating it up. She had me…

Shop Black Friday Deals Online

Black Friday is one of the most hated days in my family. I just don’t understand the point of people camping out or cutting their Thanksgiving holiday short just to get a good deal on a TV. I get it, you could save hundreds, but is it really worth fighting the horrific crowds or possibly getting trampled to death? No thanks, I’d rather shop Black Friday deals from the comfort of my couch while watching Football or a movie, recovering from my food coma. Luckily, most stores have already started their Black Friday deals, and you could get them online!…

The Children’s Place: Petite Stylist Edition

The Children’s Place: Petite Stylist Edition

Disclaimer: I was given a gift card in return this experience. All thoughts and opinions are my own as always! On a recent trip to The Children’s Place, I couldn’t help but go absolutely crazy and pretty much buy half the store! The new holiday and winter styles for girls absolutely took me to an icy wonderland as I combed through the glitter, pastels and glamified racks. I couldn’t wait to get my finds back home to my little shopping buddy who sadly missed out on the shopping excursion because she was in school. To my surprise, when she looked…

Easy Thanksgiving Side Dishes

Easy Thanksgiving Side Dishes

I can not believe Thanksgiving is in 2 days…TWO! It is one of my favorite holidays to spend with family and enjoy being gluttonous! My family typically makes a million side dishes, because lets face it, the sides make the meal! Everyone has their favorites and if we don’t make them, someone will be mad! A few years ago, my mom didn’t make one of my favorite side dishes: biscuits (Only the Pillsbury kind)! She subbed it for a different brand of biscuits and I almost threw a tantrum – the kind a three year old throws when you don’t let them have…

Thanksgiving Books for Kids

Thanksgiving Books for Kids

Since November came in without any warning, I wanted to get my kids out of the candy-craze that Halloween brought and into the glutenous delight of Turkey Day! Last month, I shared our favorite Halloween books with you and since I can’t get enough of my kids love for books.  I had to get them excited for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday with some classically awesome Thanksgiving books! Our bedtime routine typically ends with cuddling together on the rocking chair reading Pete The Cat, The First Thanksgiving, Who Will Carve The Turkey This Thanksgiving, Turkey Trouble and Sofia the First. The girls get so…

Rent The Runway : My Favorite Plus One

Rent The Runway : My Favorite Plus One

I’m sure by now most of you have heard of Rent the Runway. It is a site dedicated to renting hot, high-end fashion dresses to the public. For someone who doesn’t typically have a gala or red carpet event to attend every month, I don’t see the point in buying a 200-400 dollar dress for one occasion every year or so. That is why I love Rent the Runway – I can get a dress that is in style, for fractions of the price. For the past couple of weddings we had to go to, I was bored of my go-to…

Fried Turkey Marinade

Fried Turkey Marinade

Fried Turkey > Roasted Turkey. Yes, you read that correctly. Fried turkey is abundantly superior to a boring old oven roasted turkey. For the past 2 years, we have been frying our turkeys. My husband ran out a week before Thanksgiving 2 years ago to buy a turkey fryer and I thought he was insane. All you hear about are the explosions, fires and horror stories associated with turkey fryers. I made it perfectly clear to him that I would not be going near that thing, nor will it be in any close proximity to our home. He yes’d me…
