How To: Feng Shui Your Workspace

0

My husband runs his own company out of our third bedroom and I’ve tried making it feel more like his own space than just a room with a desk and a bed. Problem is, we don’t have a lot of space to work with, so it quickly turns into a catchall room. The poor guy spends 10-12 hours a day in this place and I go in for 5 minutes and I feel claustrophobic and overwhelmed. God knows how he gets anything accomplished. I am a firm believer in if your space is organized, so is your mind. If it’s…

Party Foul: Bean Bag Toss Pinterest Fail

0

Pinterest is probably one of my favorite procrastinating sites. I have a million things to do but I need to go pin 50 recipes that I may never make. I especially love it when I am doing some party planning. Baby O’s birthday was a couple of weeks ago, and I was all over that place pinning the shit out of decorations, recipes, games, hair do’s, makeup, funny memes….I may have gotten distracted and thrown off course BUT I found some quality ideas off of it. I wanted to make sure there were tons to do for the kids, because…

alternaVites Kids – Multivitamins for Kids!

0

Disclaimer: I was supplied samples for review purposes only. All thoughts and opinions are my own, as always! Back to school usually means germs – LOTS of germs! The snotty noses run rampant and cold germs get passed around from one kid to the next. As my little one begins her first year of preschool, I am already having major anxiety thinking of the germs she will be bringing home to the family. As parents, we want to make sure our children have the proper protection from those pesky germs and that starts with multivitamins for kids. alternaVites Kids is…

Date Night: Max’s Harvest Delray Beach, FL

0

If you are in desperate need a date night, head to Max’s Harvest, off Atlantic Ave in Delray. This was one of the greatest meals we’ve had out in a long, long time! This laid back, chic restaurant prides itself on ‘farm to fork’ and using locally grown ingredients. Max’s Harvest is situated off of busy Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, on 2nd Avenue. Easy walking distance from park garages, the avenue and other bars, shops and restaurants. We had reservations but got there early to sit at the bar and try out some of their signature cocktails. I sucked…

Do’s & Don’ts for Back to School: 2014-15 Edition

0

My baby started preschool yesterday! Cue the heavenly music now. Probably not the kind of reaction you are guessing as my first born is off to school but I am! My husband, on the other hand, is a basket case and a total mess! Every time we talk about it shushes me and changes the subject. So you must be wondering how we fared as we piled in the car as a family and dropped our big Lil Diva off for her first day of school. Well, it went surprisingly well for her! She was so excited she could barely…

How To: Clean Your Dishwasher

How To: Clean Your Dishwasher

This week’s ‘How To’ feature is all about the guy who does the brunt of our kitchen duty: The Dishwasher. I never really gave much concern to this appliance until my kitchen started to smell a little funky. I would clean the counters, mop the floor, wipe down the inside of the cabinets, even deodorize the disposal, but we still smelled the funk. So, during one of the many daily internal conversation I have with myself, I asked myself, “Self, what is the one thing I never clean – ding ding ding! My dishwasher.” Maybe he (yes, my dishwasher…

If you are looking for a freaking awesome weekend getaway, I’ve got one place that you need to visit. The fabulous, unique and one of the most absolute beautiful places you’ll ever step foot: Los Angeles. My husband and I traveled cross country to LaLa Land for a long weekend getaway with out the kids and at first I was a bit skeptical of traveling that far for a short amount of time. What the hell was I thinking! It was the perfect destination for the kind of relaxing, fun and quick trip we needed to recharge our batteries from…

Coffee Is My Kryptonite

0

Coffee: That steamy, percolated, caffeine packed goodness that everyone and their mother starts their days with. Everyone, that is, except me. I may seem like the only adult in the world who doesn’t drink coffee. People often scratch their head when they find out this tidbit of info about me and wonder how the hell I function with out a cup of joe to jump start my day; especially with two little ones. Simply put, caffeine is my kryptonite. It makes me shaky, palpultatey (yes, that is a word) and shoots my anxiety through the roof. You may be thinking,…
