Raise Your Glass with HOST!

0

If you don’t know who True Fabrications are or one of their awesome line of wine products, HOST, you need to go check them out right now. Go ahead on over there, I’ll wait… OK – Now, you know why I love their products right?! As a self-proclaimed wine-o, I was extremely excited when the great people at True Fabrications sent me over some of HOST’s newest and coolest products out in the market right now: the CHILL Cooling Pour Spout, the WHIRL Aerating Glass set, and the TILT MINI Variable Aerator. So at our latest and probably last dinner…

Swim Safety: TKR Class at Baby Otter Swim School

0

It is extremely scary, as a parent, to hear the statistics of child drownings. Down here in Florida, pools are as common as driveways in homes so having the necessary precautions to protect your child is a must. We’ve had my daughter in the pool since she was 3 months old, with mommy & me classes and just splashing around. Getting them used to the water at a young age is key but what I found is that teaching them survival is even more important over all. Back in the 80’s, my parents put me in a survival swim course…

Floral Fail

0

Shopping gives me a sense of calmness. If I’m having a crappy day, I like to hit one or three of my favorite stores, just to check out what’s new. Well, a few weeks, I just wanted to get out of the house to avoid the afternoon set on of laziness that usually hits me around 3-ish. I didn’t want to spend the afternoon on the couch, bad enough I feel like a giant barrel of lard. So I went snooping around LoveCulture trying to find some comfy leggings and blousy cute tops. I have noticed floral print is in,…

Ikea’s Hidden Jewel: Tindra Candles

0

We are pretty lucky to have an Ikea about 15 minutes away from our house. We could hop over there for a quick trip, or even just for a cheap lunch! It’s great. There are many hidden jewels in Ikea, but personally, the most important one is the candles. Most wouldn’t typically go directly to Ikea for just plain old candles, but that is high on my list. For $1.99, you can get deliciously smelling candles called Tindra in 6 different scents: Green Apple, Berry, Vanilla Ice Cream, Melon, Apples & Cinnamon, and Roses. I am obsessed with these candles…

Why Being Pregnant Sucks

2

It’s no secret on how I feel about being pregnant. I will tell anyone and everyone who asks that it just plain out sucks. The outcome is the absolute best thing in the world but the 9 1/2 months leading up to that moment is just….rough. I know there are many out there that just don’t see it the way I do, some might agree but just don’t want to admit it because they feel like they will be looked at as a terrible person, and there are a few that whole-heartedly agree. I don’t think feeling this way makes…

Meatless Friday’s: Peach Cobbler

1

I have had the worst cravings for peach cobbler this past week. The funny thing is I’ve never even had peach cobbler before in my life! Sure, I could have easily gone to Publix and buy it frozen, but its not just not the same as homemade. I wanted authentic, southern-style peach cobbler because it looks so damn delicious on T.V. or in pics. I of course went to good old trusty-reliable Pinterest and hit the jackpot! I found probably the easiest and most delicious homemade recipe for peach cobbler. Since I have nothing to reference it by, this is…

Easiest Appetizer EVER! Crock Pot Meatballs

1

I went to my homegirl’s birthday BBQ over the weekend and was scrambling on what to bring. Of course I wait till last minute, and then realized she told me someone was bringing a bean/corn app…because otherwise I would have gone straight to my trusty-reliable Bean & Corn salsa. Being fat, preggo and craving everything under the sun, I thought about those yummy little meatballs covered in sweet and spicy sauce that I’ve had at different parties over the years but never knew how to make. I needed to make those not just for my own fatty-selfish reason, but because…

Steal of the Century: Quatrefoil Mirror

1

I have been looking all over for something to add to my blah living room to spice things up a bit. It must be the nesting that’s going on with me, but I feel the need to spruce up my living room like yesterday. I was pokin’ around Walmart a couple weeks ago and stumbled on what I can only call the steal of the century. I literally turned a corner down an aisle that I never go down and I couldn’t be happier that I took this detour. I found a distressed black framed Quatrefoil shaped mirror by Better…

Preggo Fashion Finds: Forever21

1

I hit up my fave store to find some goodies for an upcoming trip, because lately my clothes have just been boring as hell. Jean shorts and a preggo tank. As comfortable as that sounds, I felt so freaking boring and BLAH. It’s like groundhogs day in my closet. I had to do something to change this cycle. Enter Forever 21. I haven’t been lucky in this store since the beginning of my pregnancy, but this past trip I found some solid pieces that will give a preggo bitch a little boost from the typical boring, blah outfits. Cuffed Drawstring…
