A Plea To Nickelodeon

0

For the love of God, Nickelodeon! Where are the ‘Bubble Guppies’ merchandise?! It has been over a year that my lil girl has been obsessed with these mermaid people. She gets into what I call the “Bubble Guppies Trance”. As soon as she hears the ever intoxicating theme song begin, she takes her place in front of the T.V. for the entire 20-something minutes its on with a glazed look over her face and does not move. Well, until they start singing a song she likes and begins to dance. She’s cool like that. Some of you might remember my open…

WTF Nickelodeon

0

If my daughter is in one of her “moods” (like she is at this very moment) and I’ve tried EVERYTHING to talk her down from the bratty ledge that shes on, there is usually only one thing that will ultimately work – “The Bubble Guppies”. If you are not familiar with these little guppies, its a show on Nickelodeon or Nick Jr (I’m still trying to figure out all these channels) and it has saved my sanity on many of occasions. It follows the adventures of 6 little merbabies/guppies – not entirely sure what they are but she absolutely LOVES…

Has Reality TV Gone Too Far?

0

Yes. It has. I love watching reality TV. It’s mindless, full of entertainment and drama. I love to unwind by watching my TiVo’d reality shows after a long day of dirty diapers and chasing around an almost 10 month old. My husband makes fun of me, but I don’t care. I love all the craziness of the Housewives and the Mob Wives, Top Chef’s, Real World & everything else Food Network, E! and Bravo produce. It’s my guilty pleasure. But I have to say, as I watched last nights season finale of ‘Khourtney & Kim Take New York’ I was…

Ohhhh Sexy Girlfriendddd

0

My husband considers himself a movie fanatic. Claims he’s seen pretty much every movie out there, and I’ll admit, he’s right. He can quote the most random of movies, except one specific genre. The most coveted of cult movies – the coming of age, 80’s teen classics. What.The.Fuck. When I asked him about movies like “Sixteen Candles”, “The Breakfast Club”, “Pretty in Pink”, “Say Anything”, he just sat there, confused. ?!?!?!?!?! Ok, I’d understand if he maybe hadn’t seen one or two, but EVERY movie I mentioned he said no. How does he not know who Samantha Baker or Long…

The Analyzation of Mindless Television

0

Since being stuck indoors for the past 7 days with a sick baby, I’ve been watching a lot of TV. So from the lack of sleep in conjunction with the hours of mindless television, my brain is mush. But clearly there were some active brain cells still up in there last night when I was watching a re-run of “How I Met Your Mother”. It was the very first episode, surprisingly, one I have never seen. If anyone knows me they know I’m not one of those people that watch every show on every channel religiously. I have my favorites…

I’m Lazy. Wah.

0

About a month ago, I got all jacked up on the idea of working out. Yeahhhh bro! I was all about beating down Jillian Michaels and pretty much calling her a skank, slut, whore, biatch and every other name in the book. I was determined to get back into the groove of working out and getting “shredded”. Yeah. That didn’t happen. I completely failed at that goal. I worked out for about a week and a half straight, I was on a roll. Then everything seemed to just get in the way. The floors had to be mopped. The rugs…

Anne Burrell is Awesome.

0

My husband and I are addicted to pretty much every show on Food Network. And HGTV. Our favorite chefs at the moment are Anne Burrell and Robert Irvine. Thanks to ‘The Next Iron Chef’, Jeff Zakarian is creeping up there too. Any who, last weekend we were watching ‘Secrets of a Restaurant Chef’ hosted by Anne Burrell and she was making a braised chicken dish that just looked absolutely incredible. So we had a bright idea of attempting to make it for dinner that night. It looked complicated but between the two of us it turned out to be so…

Je de Coup Clow

I just was watching the episode of ‘Friends’ where Joey tries to speak French. Hysterical. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqwzvtjeYBQ] Speaking of the French, I made French Toast today for breakfast. I know, it totally goes together. Any who, the French Toast came out amazing due to the fact I added a little twist to it. I always wanted to make cereal crusted French Toast thanks to the food shows on T.V. Of course I was fresh out of Capt’n Crunch and decided to try it with Kelloggs Red Berry Cereal. I just used the flakes and left out the strawberries, but it actually…
